Oregon Christian Home Education Conference
Oregon Christian Home Education Conference is designed to honor God and to equip, encourage, support, and provide godly counsel to home educating families. The conference, sponsored by OCEANetwork, has been successful in all of this and more since 1996. Families from throughout Oregon and SW Washington attend this event each summer to improve their homeschool skills and strengthen their homeschool convictions. OCEANetwork brings nationally known speakers who have a Christ-honoring message to Oregon. Past speakers have included Doug Philips of Vision Forum, author Cathy Duffy, Mike Smith of Home School Legal Defense Association, Chris Klicka of the National Center for Home Education, Mike Farris, president of Patrick Henry College, homeschool advocate Rick Fugate, and author Inge Cannon to name a few. All of the speakers are selected because they bring an excitement and a godly vision to homeschool parents through their messages. Young adults (age 12 and above) are encouraged to register with their parents to attend keynote speakers with their folks and to enjoy sessions tailored to encourage and support their role as future homeschool parents.
