Save an additional $10 by being an OCEANetwork Supporting Family. That makes the conference only $40 for an individual or a couple! After June 1, 2009, the conference fee is $60 payable at the door. (Or $50 if you become an OCEANetwork Supporting Family.) We have plenty of room this year for walk-in registration, so if you missed the June 1st deadline, don't hesitate to come to the Oregon Convention Center and register at the door. Young Adults (12 and older) are invited to attend the conference with their parents. Help them catch the vision for discipleship. Registration for teens cost $10 each. Nursing infants and toddlers (0 - 2) may attend with their mother. You are welcome in the sessions during those times your baby is quiet, but we ask that you leave when the infant is noisy so that others may hear the session clearly. OCEANetwork is using a public building with several other events occuring at the same time. OCEANetwork will not be responsible for unattended youth. Grandparents can be a home school family’s greatest ally! To help them see a bigger picture of home education, we invite you to bring your children’s grandparents to the conference. Give them the opportunity to see the hope for the coming generations, rub shoulders with home-educated young people, and hear from some of the best homeschool advocates in the nation. Grandparents can register for $10 each when registering on the same form as your family. This applies only to grandparents of children being home educated by their parents. It does not apply to grandparents who are home educating their own children or their grandchildren. We believe the curriculum hall and the conference work together to equip you for the upcoming school year. Therefore, we encourage you to register for the whole conference to obtain the best preparation for next year.However, in combining the NW Curriculum Exhibition and the annual conference, we realize there are some who prefer to attend the Exhibit Hall only. Therefore, we will be offering Exhibit Hall Only passes this year for $10 each person ($5 for children 3 - 16). (Children are not allowed in the Used Curriculum Exchange.) The Exhibit Hall Only pass includes admission to the Exhibit Hall both Friday and Saturday, the Used Curriculum Exchange and admission to the closing keynote session and graduate recognition on Saturday. Individuals with an Exhibit Hall Only Pass will not be able to attend any other workshop or other keynote sessions at the conference. You may apply $10 toward your conference registration on site if you decide to attend the whole conference. Exhibit Hall Only Passes must be purchased at the door. They go on sale starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 12, and will be available for purchase throughout the conference. Used Curriculum Sale shopping times for those purchasing Exhibit Hall Only Passes will will be after volunteers and families who pre-registered for the entire conference. Help support the work of OCEANetwork all year long - become an OCEANetwork Supporting family and receive an additional $10 discount to the conference. Supporting Families receive OCEANetwork's newsletter for Oregon Christian home educators. In addition, Supporting Families receive $20 off Home School Legal Defense Association membership. Those two discounts pay for your Supporting Family membership! Become an OCEANetwork Supporting Family or renew today with your conference registration, take $10 off your conference registration and support the work of OCEANetwork. Current Supporting Families whose membership expires after 6/23/09 may also take a $10 discount on this year's conference. OCEANetwork wants to make the conference accessable to any homeschool family who wishes to attend. To that end, we have arranged for a limited number of work scholarships to be available. If you are a single parent raising your family alone and you are homeschooling or want to look into homeschooling, contact Joyce Padilla at 503-787-3512. When you pre-register, you help OCEANetwork with our planning and conference logistics - and you save $10! However, if you have not pre-registered by June 1st, you may still register at the door. Walk-in registrations are welcome. If for some reason you find you cannot attend the conference, please notify Joyce Padilla at 503-787-3512.
