John has spent most of his life serving in the military and also for the Kingdom. During his 26 years of military service he worked as a forward observer in the artillery; rigger for air drops; recruiter, recruiting manager/trainer and at various Headquarters positions for the Air Force Reserve. During this time he also worked as a youth leader, elder, and unpaid pastor in churches throughout the United States. After retiring from the Air Force he pastored a church and completed his Masters of Divinity. In 2006 he came to Multnomah as an Assistant Registrar prior to assuming his current role as Director of Admissions. He continues to speak at churches, retreats, and camps whenever possible. He is also the father of 2 homeschool graduated sons.
